Welcome to this week’s edition of the Falcon Flyer and TGIF! We have a busy day ahead with our state assessment reward in the park and Falcon Families. Please share with your class that we are celebrating their hard work and excellence! I will bring ice cream to the park to celebrate.
Falcon Families will be a great way to wrap up the week. I love the chance to build community with my group and get to know them better. Students are looking forward to this, so let’s make it fun!
On Monday and Tuesday, Fairfield Elementary School will be here to observe our teachers using UFLI. Their principal visited AES a few years ago and was so impressed that he is bringing part of his team to see our teachers in action. Let’s help them feel welcome!
The Sedgwick County Fire Department will be here on October 23 at 8:30 a.m. to talk with our students about fire safety. I’ll send the schedule out soon.
We are still in need of a 7th grade girls’ basketball coach! If you know anyone interested, or if you would like to coach, please let Megan or me know.
Next week is Parent/Teacher Conferences! We’ll start with a staff meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, followed by PD. You’ll also have some time afterward to prepare for conferences.
Thank you all for another great week! Enjoy your weekend!
