I graduated from Lyons High School in 1991.
I attended and graduated from K-State with an Elementary Education Degree
I received an endorsement for Special Education from Emporia State University and later received a Masters in Adaptive Special Education.
I have been teaching since 2001. I taught in Liberal, Ks in a Kindergarten through 4th grade for 5 years. When my family and I moved to the area, I bounced around from Garden Plain, Andale, and Goddard until the Coop found a permanent home for me at Clark Davidson Elementary, where I taught k-4 for 5 years. I loved working in Goddard. However in 2014, they gave me the opportunity to come back home and work at Andale Middle School. I jumped at the chance! I LOVE working with the staff, parents and especially the students here at Andale Middle School.
My husband and I were married in 1998. We have two boys, Will and Jacob, both attended Andale schools. We also have multiple pets Ducks, a Dog and a Cat.
My family and I live outside of town and love to be outside. We like to boat and fish. My husband and son love to hunt, so I usually know what is in season. This year I have tried my hand at some sewing. I asked my sister to help me start a project. She started me on a big one, we are making a quilt. I hope to have it done in the next year or two! I also love to read. I find myself reading middle school/high school books so that I can have discussions about them with my children and students. I am always looking for a good book, let me know if you have a suggestion!
